Today was the first day I did Jillian Michaels 30 day shred lvl 1 via YouTube at the designated gym area in my apartment complex. Even though I'm a 298 lb male and I'm use to lifting heavy weights those 20 mins of combined cardio and strength training owned me. Not sure how much weight I was supposed to lift because the women on the video do 5lbs so I did 10 lb weights. I had to stop a lot to catch my breath but I finished the video. I was pouring sweat and was exhausted. I will try to do the video 3 times a week every other day so I can get a break. I might do some cardio like walking in between. I'm a big guy and cardio is not my thing. Just want to see if anyone have any recommendations?

I would just say, if you hate cardio like me.. stick to HITT. Do push ups, jump squats, High Knee jumps, etc between sets. I do it ad at the end of my workout (not on leg days), I do the stair master for 10-20 minutes ..that machine will make you sweat your butt off! Like I said, i hate cardio so I have to come up with something that will make me sweat! Good Luck!

@angelsv15, awesome advice. Any form of cardio as a close to 300lb individual is difficult but I will try to mix it up just like you mentioned. Thanks, I kind of don't mind the skii like machine they got in the gym. It could be quite boring but even after 15mins I am sweating.0
