Sara and I are doing a Q&A thread in our group as we tend to do near the beginning of each month. I thought I'd link it here in case people benefit from it. Feel free to post any questions you may have in that thread, and we will do our best to answer what we can answer.

First of all - not an embarrassing or rank amateur question. Secondly, we like to think that people can post questions in our group and not worry about being made fun of. Well, unless someone is making fun of SideSteel - then that's fair game! :p

Bumping, you guys really helped me out a while back as I was transitioning into maintenance (I had a different account then). I need to join your group again :)

I really have no questions at this point. I know what I need to do to get to my goal. My question is how long are your lifting careers?

I will hit the 5 year mark around October of this year. The first 1.5 years were without barbells doing a body-part split with machines and dumbbells. Didn't even begin learning about barbell lifts until about 2 years into it, unfortunately.

Wow I would of thought longer but that is because I didn't know nutrition was way more important. If only I started using this a while ago. I have been lifting way too long for my stats to be where they are.

I used to do the typical 'trainer style' 15 rep DB and machine lifting for a few years over 10 years ago, but after I suffered from my aneurysm, and after losing a lot of LBM from not being ambulatory for a while, I stopped for about 5 years (and got fluffy) - got back into it when I started on here, and soon after discovered that I loved doing compounds and powerlifting style routines. Have been doing this for about 3 years now.
