Hi all! Newbie here. I have the go ahead from my doc to work out, but I know I can't take a lot of stuff like lunges, or things that strain the neck (like crunches, I had some dome surgery a few years ago and I have to be careful with that). I walk when its nice enough outside, but I need to add some strengthening to keep my flub somewhat in check. Thanks in advance!

Can you ask your doc for a prescription to work with a physical therapist? A PT could give you some great options for your neck and your knees. I am recovering from a mountain biking accident that left me with neck injuries (couldn't do any exercise which was horrible). My PT gave me an excellent neck routine and I was back to working out pretty quickly.

I second the PT - they are trained to look at your injuries and weaknesses and design something to strengthen that.
