I am having pretty extensive jaw, reconstruction that will result in a 5-6 month luquid-doft food diet. I HATE BANSNAS and I am lactose intolerant so yogurt isn't a great base for smoothies. I do have a large stock of protein drinks, snd lots of fresh snd frozen fruits to add, but my sister-in-law gave me Chia seed to yse, but her directios,we yo let them dig in water or juice for an hour first. Can I just add them to my modified smoothie.?

Chia swells in water. Better to let it do that outside your belly so as not to overfill yourself.0
