Pretty new to this whole count calories and walk a lot thing... But I was wondering if there were any success stories with simply eating less than the goal calorie count and walking 10,000+ steps a day.

I've been at it for about 6 weeks now and so far I've lost 23lbs. I'm sure most of it is water weight haha. Anyway, it does work for me! I try to get in about 13-15k steps a day and cut down on carbs and sugar along with a calorie count at around 1500-1800.

My daily goal is 10, 000 + steps plus alternating days weights and cardio. In addition, portion food control. This plan has been successful, I feel energetic and maintained a size 8 dress size.

I suspect that eating at a deficit and walking 10,000 steps per day will yield some results, if you are starting out as fairly sedentary. It wouldn't have helped me, because I live in the city and already walked that much habitually.

What I've done is gradually up my daily step goal until it reached the point that I had to make a bit of a special effort to hit it (for me, that was at about 11.5k steps . . . lower than that and I was likely to hit it just running errands, but at that number I have to make an effort on slow days to get out and walk or run to make my steps).
