Ok so in work we had free doctor check ups, I thought this would be great I need someone to tell me im overweight and need to exercise.
He did!
I am a stone and a half over my ideal weight, also my fat around my organs is high, so the hard work starts now!

Time is a issue for me I do not go to the gym as cost is too much so I work out at home, I have a spin bike and a few weights. Today I got up 5am to do an hours workout before my little boy gets up and I get him ready for nursery and then work for me.

What I struggle on is motivation and snacking, im great now im real motivated but in a few days time or weeks I struggle so some advice is needed please!

oh feel free to add me as a friend I can always use more people on my friends list to see how great yall doing!

I have tried a hell of a lot of things and one thing that works is essentially portion control and eating well but by that I mean your life needs to change as you will need to commit in the long run. Cooking healthy isn't that hard and you also don't have to just eat dried out oven chicken breast to satisfy your hunger.

A six pack is made in the kitchen not the gym. Your diet is key to your success but get in exercise as often as possible.

When it comes to snacking, just don't have it around the house. You most likely spend a lot of time at your house and would be tempted to grab something if its there.

I found trying to keep things enjoyable as possible makes the whole weight loss process more simple and something you'll be motivated to stick with long term. How to make it more enjoyable? Interacting with others here is definitely what kept me coming back and logging in-I had nobody else who was trying to lose weight and experiencing some of the same stuff I was at the time so I needed that. Setting goals and challenges, e.g putting $1 in a jar each time you work out and buying some new workout gear when you get to 100. Also, once myself and a couple of others on my friends all tried to walk 50km in a month. Also, regularly fitting in treats or even healthy treats in to your diet. I often make 'healthy pizzas' with wholemeal flatbread or pita bread, and even sneaking on veggies I hate because it cant be tasted. It seriously has stopped us even buying pizza in our household, because they're so yummy. Crazy!

Also, it's okay if you haven't got all the time you need for working out right now, working out helps, is great for your health and lifting improves how things will look, but certainly you can lose the weight just by sticking to your caloric deficit, because calories in, calories out is the main thing. I think it is best to change one thing at a time to start with, that will make it easier to stick :) I tend to pre plan my food the night before so I don't need to think about what to have during the day.

Planning is key plus not having high calorie snacks around helps too. I also find that high fiber and/or high fat snacks fill me up and curb my hunger so I'm not craving high sugar snacks late in the afternoon- examples are apples, small portions of nuts, bananas, carrots and hummus, raisins, or string cheese.
