omg look at how the mind works. I was watching a video at fb about preparing an ice cream sandwich cake and immediately I wanted to eat something with chocolate. I'm holding on cus is only 10:28 am and plus that will kill my calories for the day. Give me your advice please!

hot chocolate drink? get the taste without using up too many calories for the day? I fit chocolate into my calories on a regular basis.. I consider it essential to my mental health0

Have some chocolate and fit it into your goal.
In the context of an overall balanced diet, chocolate, ice cream, cake, etc is not bad for you.
I have ice cream every night. I've lost 60+ lbs. Hasn't hindered me a bit and keeps me sane.0 -
For satisfying my craving for something sweet; especially if my husband is eating a bowl of ice cream - is to buy the Klondike Bars that only have 100 calories in them. They are square and just the right amount of sweetness. Next time I go to the store I want to check out the Fruit bars in the freezer (hopefully, they won't be too high). I have tried the Outshine fruit and veggie bars which are only 35 calories a stick/bar - they are more like a popsicle and the other ones I want to try are more like a fudge bar - creamier. I guess I will check the next time I have to go into town for groceries.0

I'm on a Medical Weight Loss program; but have been on WW (without any success) and they (WW) tell you to NOT give up those things you like, just keep them in moderation. Otherwise you will, sooner or later, give in and over eat. Either way - the program(s) I have been in to try to lose weight all say not to view it as 'dieting' because you are only setting yourself up to 'fail'. It is a life-style change. Those of us who remember the 7 food groups know that most of us, even my age, are not getting them all 'in' during a day. I usually 'go over' the allotted number of calories I am suppose to have per day on weekends, when my husband cooks breakfast for me. It is the meat (sausage most of the time) that I know I will have to cut back by half. IF I had not eaten 2 patties of them; I would have been below my caloric intake for the day. BOO!0

A Klondike bar sounds good.0 -
It is, and just enough to satisfy that 'sweet' urge.0
