Generally I just try to guesstimate with what is in the database. A lot of times I will look at what is there and if it's an entry from a well known restaurant I will go to their website and read their menu online to see if the description sounds like what I just ate. Not the most scientific method, but if anyone has a better way....

If finding a place with a similar meal doesnt work, what I do is I'll enter each item in on their own and try to think of how they made it. Rice, chicken (grilled) , salsa, oil for cooking etc. I think of how I would cook it at its unhealthiest form.

if not here, i also try calorie king.com. or break it down by ingredients in the dish...time consuming but if you want to know, you gotta do the work :)

carne asada torta is going to be between 500 - 1000. If its the big ones like they have down here close to the border expect it to be about 900-1000 like the carne asada burrito would be.
