Aiming for weight loss, cardio improvement and off the tablets!

Hi,
I'm starting on a little bit of a journey caused by an eye test.
Optician noticed signs of high blood pressure, being the geek I am, rather than seeing a doctor I went and bought a blood pressure gauge that links to the iPhone, checked it, found out it was right, checked my pulse with my Apple Watch, and then saw the doc who did blood tests and put me on tablets. End result is that there is nothing inherently wrong with me that losing some weight and improving my cardio strength wouldn't fix.
Being a data obsessed geek, just doing it and getting healthier etc doesn't work. I need proof things are getting better! And I'd never been to a gym in my life, and it's my idea of hell.
So I've got my Apple Watch monitoring me, the blood pressure gauge, a separate heart rate monitor for MyFitnessPal workouts and the machines, and digital internet scales. Oh, and two second hand machines at home, a York treadmill and an elliptical thing. See, I know all the terminology
All that data and I'm happy. I can see things happening. I can prove it's doing something.
And things have started to get better. And now through a work scheme, I also going to the gym and getting some proper training advice. And it's nowhere near as bad as I thought it'd be as the gym is for normal humans, and the trainer gives tailored advice, and pushes me really hard to places I didn't think I could reach.
It's one month tomorrow since D Day (diagnosis day), and things are tracking in the right direction. I've lost 4.8 kilos / 10.6 lbs already, and my fat mass is falling, my resting heartbeat is falling, my peak exercise heart rate that I can sustain and not feel like I'm about to die is getting better, and it looks like I'll have to see the doc next week to get the medication reduced a little.
Which aint too bad for a month. But being able to share that progress with people in all geekiness glory would be great.
