I'm 25 years old, 252 lbs, and recently diagnosed with PCOS. My doctor has me on Metformin, an insulin pill (as I understand it). I'm worried about my health, but also relieved; the diagnosis and explanation of insulin resistance made total sense to me and I'm happy to know exactly where my weight loss issues come from and to be on the path to correcting my issues.
I've been on countless weight loss plans, fad diets and starvation diets. I also spent most of last year eating really clean, no processed carbs/sugars, and lost 20 lbs before derailing a couple of months before my wedding. I've been off track ever since, and gained ten pounds back.
I'm here looking for friends, advice, meal ideas and support- and here to give those things as well!
