    Why?
What makes you think you need to?
Are you showing signs of dehydration perhaps?

Just keep a bottle on your desk, where you can see it and that will remind you to drink more

Is there another drink you do like? Coconut water is good.

I always keep a bottle of water next to me at work.

I drink sparkling mineral water at home. Yay for fizz! (And juice, coffee, and alcohol! :) )

    Yes dehydration.

If you're genuinely dehydrated you wont need encouraging. Otherwise don't over think it your food is around 80% water so you get a lot that way so drink when your thirsty. The 8 glasses of water nonsense is actually a random number made up by a mineral water company. Yes keep hydrated but don't over complicate it

Don't limit yourself to just water if you don't enjoy it.
Most drinks (except hard alcohol) actually help hydration levels.

BTW - loads of people are happy to give advice but context helps so the more info you put in your OP the more likely it is to be appropriate advice.
There are many people drinking excesssive amounts of water verging from the simply pointless to the potentially harmful.

Put scotch in it. You knew somebody had to say it! I drink flavored water, put some lemon juice in it or iced tea. I cut back on sugar, to many calories. You could put a little orange juice in a glass, then fill the rest of the glass with water

any advice on encouraging yourself to drink more water?

Generally you should drink half your weight in oz of water. I typically have 2 cups of water with every major meal (breakfast, lunch, etc.) And 1 cup with every snack. Drinking water is really crucial for weight loss and although you may not feel dehydrated, many people are without realizing it! (Ever feel really tired, or get headaches?)

    Good luck!
