Jawbone up24 synced but showed a gap of 40 mins

I have an Up24 and today completed an 11k power walk, when my up synced it showed 40 minutes with absolutely no activity. I was carrying hand weights but if that was the reason surely it would've logged nothing for the whole walk. Anyone got any idea? So annoyed as I'm only showing 6000 steps
