Fitbit newbie, how can I get the most out of my fitbit?

I just ordered a Fitbit. I am looking for guidance in using it to its full capabilities to help me on my weight loss journey. I am trying to lose 100 pounds because I would love to pursue a career in law enforcement. Any feedback would be appreciated.

There's a fitbit group here, tons of good information there:

Connect your accounts at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/fitbit
Set your goal to .5 lb. per week for every 25 lbs. you're overweight: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_guided
Enable negative calorie adjustments: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings
Ignore your Fitbit calorie goal and follow MFP's, eating back your adjustments. Fitbit will calculate your burn, but it's still up to you to log everything you eat & drink accurately & honestly. Logging works.0 -
Thanks, I'm implementing your suggestions!0
