Good scale?

I ordered a digital scale from Amazon to track my progress several months ago, but recently it hasn't been working properly. It gives me a million different readings when I step on, off, and on again. These numbers vary up to 10 lbs! I'm thinking it's time for a new scale. Are there any brands or models that you can recommend me? I just want something reliable. Thank you!

I have the iHealth Digital Scale, links up and tracks on my iPhone.
    I thought it was awesome......
until I weighed myself on the medical digital scale at my job.
There is a 9lb discrepancy between the two!
Home weighs me heavier, I'm 9lbs lighter at work.
Guess where I'm weighing myself from now on?

You might just need to replace the batteries.

Agreed. Have you tried replacing the batteries? Most scales will start acting weird when the batteries are dying.

We have 2 scales in the house. Both were bought on amazon.
    • BalanceFrom High Accuracy Body Fat Scale ($30 when we got it in 2013) - Still works great. I weigh less on this scale than on our other one. This scale was only ever meant to be a temporary thing until I saved up enough for our other scale. However, even after purchasing the other scale, my husband refuses to use any other scale. It's very consistent. The problem I have is that I like to weigh daily and log my weights daily. I don't always get the chance to go straight from my scale to the computer or my phone and even when I do, I have a tendency to forget either the weight or the BF%. That's why I saved for a wifi scale, because I'm lazy and my memory sucks.
    • Fitbit Aria ($129) - This one weighs me exactly 1 lb heavier than the other scale. Not a big deal to me, but my husband won't use it for this reason. I bought this one for simple fact that it automatically logs my weight and BF% for me. That and it's nice not to have to bend over and select the profile I want from a list or to have to push a button to turn it on (both are things that need to be done with the other scale).

I have a Tanita body fat scale tbf-551. Still going strong after 15 years, I don't think they make this model anymore.

Thanks everyone! I didn't even consider replacing the batteries. I'll give that a shot and if it doesn't work, then maybe I'll buy one of the ones you recommended!

This is my scale and I absolutely love love love it. I would marry it if I could. 100% of the time it gives me consistent results, unlike my last scale, that would give me a different number every time I got on it.

I like the Fitbit aria. Since it posts directly to my Fitbit app, I can't lie or pretend that weigh/in didn't happen!
