I have been taking this supplement for about two months now, and have really had a great result.

There seems to be a lot of conflicting reports on its safety. Even the Mayo Clinic just lists that it is indeed used to treat disorders and diseases.

Have any of you had any experience positive or negative?

I started taking 200mg of DHEA about two months ago-I'm 46 and lets just say I will never stop taking it.. I won't get into details on an open forum but very positive results... I didn't take it for weight loss..

By my dr's recommendation I started taking it about 7-8 months ago - not for weight loss, but for overall health. I have never felt better.

This is the only reputable medical source of unbiased information I could find for this product. It generally says there is not enough information to support any of the claimed benefits, nor to list side effects or interactions with other supplements or medications.

Personally, I have no experience with it. Also, til there is a double blind clinical trial or 2 that supports the claims being made, I would just consider it more of the bunk the industry puts out, and would not take it.

The Mayo clinic has evaluated the scientific studies related to the purported benefits of using DHEA. On this page clicking on the link entitled "Grading Rationale" gives a bit more info on their grading criteria. http://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/dhea/evidence/hrb-20059173
