Minimising loose skin during weight loss

Good morning everyone :)
I'm currently losing weight and working out every day, and as I have around 60lbs to go until my goal, I'm thinking about possible loose skin, particularly around my middle. I was wondering if any of you have some lotion or oil recommendations to minimise loss of elasticity in the skin as fat is shed. I've been using a regular moisturiser most days, but I'm wondering if there's something that would be more effective. Thanks in advance, have a good day :)

There's no lotion that can prevent loose skin. Losing the weight slowly and lifting weights help but most of it depends on genetics. Some products do help lighten stretch marks and give skin a more glowy look but just from personal experience I like coconut and grape seed oil.

Losing weight too quickly can cause loose skin. You can prevent this by creating a caloric deficit which isn't aggressive (eg -20% of your TDEE). This way you lose weight at the same pace your skins elasticity adjusts.

I lost weight quickly and don't have loose skin. Others have lost weight slowly and do have lose skin.

It seems like results are overwhelmingly determined by the genetic lottery.

I've lost 40 pounds and already have loose skin, others have lost a lot more and not had an issue with it. As everyone says, it's all about genetics! Good luck on the weight loss :)

Bio Oil is reported to be one of the better ones.

Topical creams and oils don't affect skin's actual pliability. Anything that's topical only affects the surface of the skin and not the dermis.

It WILL come down to genetics and age.

You can do things like sugar scrubs in the shower (pintrest has a million links on how to make your own for cheap), or even just use an exfoliating mitt. Mild/moderate exfoliating several times a week helps turn the skin cells over a little faster, which can give a very small boost in how fast your skin shrinks. DON'T scrub until your skin is irritated, you are just making yourself miserable with no extra benefit. Be sure to drink plenty of water, since your skin is one of the first organs affected by low water intake. Spas and such will try to sell you lotions full of craziness. I worked in those places, I sat through the product trainings, I saw the clients who had been buying the same expensive lotions for YEARS, and I have never seen a single person who actually had any benefit from them a week after quitting using the product. Buy a lotion you really like and save your money.

No potions or lotions are going to help in term so looseness

But skin takes a while ..up to 2 years... to bounce back as much as it's going to so you also have to be patient

And building muscles through a heavy resistance programme is supposed to help
