What weight in food is it when they keep refering to a cup please .

    You can't compare weight and cups. Cups are volume, weight is weight. A cup of say, flaked coconut will weigh far, far less than a cup of rice.

    Weigh solids, use cups for liquids. Best way to be accurate.

    Weigh solids....serving sizes always give a weight, or nutrition per 100g. Use these numbers for accuracy! Measure liquids.

    I weigh liquids too (why not?), including things like olive and coconut oil, almond milk, vegetable broth that's going into a soup, etc. You can place your glass or pot on a scale and pour into it without having to use (and clean!) measuring cups :-).

    If you can find accurate info for them by weight rather than volume, sure. I just find a lot of the time you can't.

    Weight your solid foods and use a liquid measuring cup for your liquids.
