    That is amazing.

    255 cals a pop.

Even more amazing! The doughnuts I was looking at were at least 600-800 :(

I made some that I think were even lower than that.
Those were like cinnamon buttermilk or something.
I've made gingerbread donuts and chocolate peanut butter donuts.

While searching for that recipe, I found this:

(for the record, I am not at all anti-fried donut. just anti-me frying them. I'd burn myself lol)

I've never baked anything in my life. I'm getting anxiety just thinking about clicking on the link.

As those of my friends list saw me post earlier:

    Conversation this morning:

Him: Welcome to Dunkin Donuts can I take your order.
Me: Can I have an extra large coffee with half and half and caramel swirl.
Him: No problem, would you like a free donut.
    Me: Nah, no thanks.

    Wait, what's wrong with me??????

I was then informed it was National donut day. Everyone but me knew that.

lol come on! Actually I wouldn't have known if Lishie hadn't posted it.

I'm very tempted to stop at FROST (a donut place near me) and get some donuts...but I've been eating pretty bad lately and probably shouldn't add to it...although I may be in Portland in the next week or two and there's no way I'll pass up Voodoo.

And I could have your donuts, because they're gluten free, but noooooo you have to live all far away and everything.

So here I sit. No donuts on donut day. Because commercial frozen gluten free donuts I can buy? Are just sad.

I'm about 80 miles from a DD or Krispy Kreme, so no free donuts for me today. :(

I was traveling out east recently and visited DD's all over the place (don't worry, I fit them in my calories or 'borrowed' from other days to fit them in my calories). Not a single DD on the east coast seems to have ingredients to make my favorite donut - butternut. What is the story with this butternut shortage?!

Got a med coffee and a free strawberry frosted with sprinkles. Hubs got an iced coffee and a free glazed.
320 calories spent on a donut thanks to seeing this thread right before heading out to town. Worth it. DD has some damn good coffee too.

I split a chocolate frosted with a peanut butter drizzle with my sister this afternoon. It was awesome.

Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Donuts...sooooooooo overrated. My mom works for an independent donut shop and they blow any chain out of the water. Gonna have a raspberry jelly donut to celebrate. :p

Agree. I don't spend calories at those places.

Two, yes TWO Old Fashioned Cake Doughnuts, at a total cost of 640 calories. I had a foodgasm. Totally worth it, being a holiday and all! Did they fit my goals today? Nope! But I'm planning a 35 mile bike ride tomorrow, so I'll work them off in a hurry

I think about this sometimes when I drive by my local Krispy Kreme, especially when the light is on.

Is there something special about eating a hot ball of sugar and grease? Are my taste buds *kitten* because the thought of that doesn't immediately cause me to crash through their window and demand donuts from the conveyor belt? Who eats donuts from a conveyor belt?

I think it is more about the treat....and getting it for free

I dont spend my calories that way either

I would rather have a REAL donut than a conveyour belt one but I dont have a donut shop like that around me

So it was donut day and I got a free donut and I ate the conveyour belt donut

shoot me and beat me with a stick

    I dont eat donuts everyday

But I did today! And it was tasty!!!!

No one should eat a donut everyday they are meant to be an occasional treat

idk I'll eat them cold all day

but hot off the conveyor just makes it weird for me
