no calories burnt shown for strengthening exercises

According to this app. Strentghing exercise burn no calories at all. But that's not true. For example squats help in burning calories not only strengthening

that true. MFP calculates only the calories burnt with cardio. For weight training you could calculate it yourself. It would be difficult to predict calories burn using weights as it varies from various factors like the size of weights you lifted, the rest between sets etc etc0

It is really challenging for many Apps to get an accurate calorie burn number for lifting
I have never added it in. It is a tiny bump in the deficit
Maybe that extra tiny square of dark chocolate.0 -
But still they should add calories burnt.

Before making sweeping statements best to find out how the app works!
Log the duration of your working under the cardiovascular section as "Strength training (weight lifting, weight training) ".
It won't give you many calories as it's not a big calorie burner.
Other options are available such as circuit training and calisthenics.0
