Hi I'm really hoping to get some support and encouragement on here :-) weighed myself today and disgusted. Feeling a bit lost x

    We all start there, but remember that isn't the end. You can make a change now! Just being on MFP is a start. Log your food regularly, join up with a group of FitBit folks or whatever kind of exercise you like and you will be inspired.

    I have lost over 50 pounds and have kept it off almost 7 years now. It works you just have to make the change and never give up on yourself.

    Been there. I started by just logging what I ate. It seemed less daunting than trying to cut back everything all at once. And it helped me understand what I was eating and where I needed to improve. Good luck to you...

    I find logging everything I eat brings the mindfulness I need in order to lose weight.

    I think the best way to approach this change in lifestyle is just start by logging your food. Start making smarter decisions and eating smaller portions but don't worry so much about calories right off the bat. This will help you feel less overwhelmed about getting into the swing of things. It's amazing how eye-opening a food journal can be once you start writing stuff down.
