I honestly don't know how but on average I'm eating about half the protein I should be. I have protein in every meal but I'm not hitting my target. Any tips on how to up my daily intake?

Protein supplements are made for this reason.

Learn how to compose a rational diet consisting of primarily whole, minimally processed foods.

Do that and you won't even need a protein powder to hit your protein goal outside of its intermittent convenience.

Getting at least some protein each meal will help. Not that you need to "time" protein, but it is easier to eat something like 100 grams protein spread throughout the day than it is to eat it in one or two meals.

    What is your protein goal?

Prelog your day, plan your meals around the protein

Plain greek yogurt and cottage cheese. Check out my diary. I usually get 150 g min of protein with no powders.
