Almost there!

Hello, I haven't been on this site much since I honestly kind of forgot about it and had so much going on in my life. So when I first got on here, I weighed in at 180 and for someone as small as me (5'0) it was heartbreaking for me. I never thought that I would weigh that much. All my life I've been on the overweight side of the scale and I was constantly pushed to lose weight by doctors, but I never did anything about it. Just last year I decided I would actually do something about it and I started eating right and going to the gym at least five times a week. I had lost about 25 pounds within two months and was happy that I was losing weight, but then I went through a horrible break up and stopped doing anything. At first I gained the weight back and even more (189) and for some reason I started shedding pounds like crazy. The last time I weighed in at 189 was in the beginning of this year (January 3) and as of right now I weigh 137. I wasn't doing anything and I was really scared that something might have been wrong with me.

I went to go see a doctor just a month ago and I have anemia along with clinical depression. Both things make me lack motivation to do anything. I don't even want to go out for walks anymore and although I'm so close to my goal, I just don't have the motivation and no one ever really motivates me. Although I lost so much pounds, the inches were the thing I was looking at the most. I lost well over eleven inches off my waist, nine off my hips, and seven off both of my thighs.

I wanted to lose weight the right way, but I didn't. I wanted to start eating right and actually work out again but I seriously lack motivation. It's a drag just trying to do anything. It honestly makes me want to cry but I just need some encouraging words.

So, if you could, can anyone tell me some motivational things? Something that would make me feel the need to actually do something rather than lay down all day?

I've found that exercise helps with my depression. Try just forcing yourself to take a quick 5 or 10 minute walk and maybe you'll find that you feel better and turn those 5-10 minutes into 30-60.

You have to be your main motivator. Your health issues aren't your fault. Don't blame yourself for things you can't do anything about. You have come a long way with your weight loss journey. Congratz! :)

Exercise is a great way to help alleviate depression.

A dog helps. Walking the animal daily will force you to exercise plus they are great companions.
