Hi, I'm pretty new to MFP, 5'3 and 108 lbs- yes, not overweight, I know, but lately I put on a few pounds due to being inactive (mono sucks!) I'd like to be back to about 104 so my abs are as defined as they were before I got sick.
I eat about 1200-1500 all healthy cals and am losing. I am a senior at my ballet studio (18 years old) and dance about 7 hours a week and condition for about 4 hours. I am pretty active. My question is about a ballet and jazz summer intensive/audition next week. Last year I didn't count cals and I'm not sure how much I should eat to do my best but still lose (I want to look good in bra tops and tights). The audition is 4 days long. Day 1 and 4 are 10 hours of classes total, and days 2 and 3 are 6 hours total. Could someone with similar experiences give me an idea of how much I should eat? I have no idea how many calories the classes and auditions burn and how many to eat back etc.
Thank you and sorry this was so long!
Heather

Absent any more accurate information you can turn to scientific guestimates : -)

Approximate by entering the MET value and minutes into this calculator: http://ergo.human.cornell.edu/MetsCaloriesCalculator/MetsCaloriesCalculator.htm
Approximate NET as opposed to Gross burn by entering (MET value -1) and minutes into the above calculator.
You can get a closer approximation of your NET calories using http://scoobysworkshop.com/calories-burned/
However I cannot find ballet in the scooby calculator.
What you can do is use the compendium to find an activity that is included in scooby's calculator that has the same MET value as what you're doing. Then pretend you're engaging in that activity.
At a guess and based on your activity level and lack of excess fat you are cutting calories at too steep of a rate.
You may want to check sidesteal's group where they specialize at guessing bodyfat from pictures. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/10118-eat-train-progress
A quick look at online calculators says you are probably under-eating by about 1000 Cal compared to the 250 or so Cal a day you SHOULD be cutting on to preserve muscle mass.

For the four days eating 1500-2000 should be fine, guided by hunger etc. You won't put on anything significant in 4 days.0
