I have absolutely no clue how many calories I burn at work.

I do janitorial and cashiering/food preparation at my job. Janitorial is going from place to place and sweeping up, picking up rubbish, and moving on to the next place. Cashiering/food prep is running around and serving things. It's almost constant stop/go walking. Today I came home and felt exhausted after an 8 hour shift, but I still have no clue how many calories I burned and I have no way of knowing.

My goal (5'8", 158lb) is 1600 calories a day. I can eat 1200 a day and be fine, but with everything I do at work, I worry about aiming for 1200 calories. I'm currently "lightly active" and set to lose "1.5 lb/wk" on my settings. I want to eat 1200-1600 but I don't want to eat over to compensate either. So what am I to do?

Choose a calorie goal. Eat at that level for a week, and see what happens. If you don't lose enough, bring your calories down. Lose too much, eat more. Simple.

Good advice, except a week isn't really ling enough to evaluate whether something is working. Try 3 or 4 weeks.

    You've got a healthy BMI

    What are your goals?

No man should drop below 1500 calories

You could get a basic fitbit like a one or zip to track your daily activity and synch calories to MFP
