The simple fact is that too much of any macro nutrient can be stored as fat. Carbs have a bad rap. They are however the bodies main source of energy. That's what makes them important. You need them. And that's why they're recommended at be a good amount of your total caloric intake. The mental component of anorexia would probably be the hardest to overcome here. I wish you all the best in your recovery process.0

Fat does not make a person fat... Consuming too many of any calories from carbs, fats, and protein can all make you gain weight.
In your case, you have nothing to worry about and should adhere to the weight gain calories given to you rather it is any of the three. I applaud you for trying to gain weight "healthy" and get toned or and fit.. your body needs to recover any damage done from the anxeroxia and the fitness will follow suit as you get better.
Eat what you enjoy eating and not to worry about calories coming from carbs, fats or proteins...
The mindset with this condition is the most important thing next to putting on the weight and getting your health back.0 -
