Busted knee

Hi everyone,
I need some advice as to what vid exercises I could do that wouldn't require any pressure on the legs.
I walked for 6 miles a month and a half ago and somehow by the end of the walk my right knee was in pain. I never felt I did anything throughout the walk though. I stretched it that evening and rested for few a days before continuing my T25 program (I was 2 weeks away from completing Beta). 3 weeks ago, I was on holiday's and went for a short 30 min hike at a waterfall in Morocco. It was fun, didn't struggle at all. The following day I was in pain! My right knee has since then been hurting. I have an MRI scheduled tomorrow (monday) to see what is wrong.
I am semi desperate to get active again. I don't want to loose what I had gained in my 10 weeks with T25.
Greatly appreciate some advice! TIA

Exercise is for overall health, deficit is for weight loss. Eat maintenance and you won't gain a thing, even without the exercise.
You're better off waiting until after you have your MRI results to look to exercise. As someones who's done big knee injuries (tore 3 out of 4 ligaments) and smaller ones (just my meniscus), exercise wasn't recommended with either.
If your doctor clears you for exercise, your best bets will be swimming/water aerobics/water zumba. Depending on the knee injury, a recumbent bike may be feasible.
You're really just better to wait; otherwise, you may just injure it further.0 -
I guess it is one of those things that you know you should wait but you are in denial and have a glimpse of hope. You are absolutely right @365andstillalive
I had surgery on the same knee 8 years ago, patella, meniscus and cartilage. I just have no clue what could have caused whatever it is that I have given that
I don't really need to loose weight, it was more to keep the strength and endurance that I had already built up to. Try to keep the inches off while maintaining the tad bit of definition that was starting to kind of semi peek.0 -
dealing with patella in left knee so I know how u feel I use the recumbent bike, ellipitcal machine right now since I have to get my knee back together so can get back to tredmill0
