MFP and exercise after a c - section - advice and encouragement needed!

HI everyone
I'm 14 weeks postnatal after my second c section. It's early days for my MFP journey it's been 7 days today! Surprisingly I'm finding the eating side of things relatively easy at the moment however started to feel frustrated that I can't do more exercise and worried this will impact my weight loss. Basic step aerobics and my exercise bike are the main things at the moment and whilst there weather is nice here in the UK i'm going to go out for walks in the evening.
Has anyone else achieved weight loss with restricted exercise for health/medical reasons?

You are still within the recovery period - it takes months to fully recover from any operation. Follow professional advice on what you should be eating and minimum net calories per day to ensure healing is not affected. Exercise has little effect on weight loss unless you are training at marathon running levels. Exercise to be healthy - did the hospital not give you a sheet with exercises to help you recover quicker? For the rest, walking is best to be followed by swimming and running when you are able. Use calorie deficient eating to help boost your weight loss.0

It won't have to impact your weight loss. It just means you'll be eating less than you COULD eat if you were burning more. Or that you'll decide to eat a bit more anyway, and lose more slowly than you otherwise could.
Weight loss is all about your deficit. You can create a deficit however you like, including through eating alone. I've successfully lost weight through diet alone when my back was out.

Last year after my 2nd c-section, I went about 14 weeks with nothing more than walking. I had an issue early on where my c-section started to come open. I lost weight during that time, but I found it much harder to stick to calorie restriction because of the lack of movement. I lost about 1.13 lbs per week during those weeks.
I was able to start harder workouts at 15 weeks PP (doctor said I was good to go). I still took it easy on anything that directly target the abdomen. I did planks, but no sit-ups or crunches. I actually started doing a dvd program called X-TrainFit at Home and made sure to modify things where needed (mostly with the core dvd).0 -
People lose weight without exercise. Walking helps. Eat at your calorie goal and you will lose weight.0

As long as you're eating at a deficit, you should lose weight. Walking would be good of you want to get a little exercise in, but give yourself time to heal, c-sections are no joke. Better yet, it may be a good idea to run your ideas by your doctor, just to be on the safe side. Good luck!0
