The data is inaccurate between entering and trying to log a recipe

I tend to cook from scratch rather than eating out or using prepared foods so I was glad to find that I can enter my recipes' ingredients and servings and just use that. However, when I try to log any of those foods, whether I manually entered everything or imported a recipe from the web, the logged data is wrong (always very very low calorie count and nutrient data, as though the serving size was half or a quarter of what I've entered as servings per recipe and my own serving size). It is always wrong, and I've entered almost two dozen recipes. Any help or suggestions? I would really like to use this feature and have it be more accurate. When I add a recipe, let's say a soup that serves six at 200 calories a serving, the calculations per serving are accurate in that section of the program-- but whether I click "save and log" or just save the recipe and then go through my "lunch" pathway and select one serving of the soup, it will show up as perhaps 86 calories.
