cardio with meniscal injury

hey everyone!
so i tore my meniscus while out on a run a few weeks back. it's not a serious tear and doesn't require surgery, but i did have to avoid exercise for 2 weeks. i've been cleared to work out again but have been specifically instructed to avoid running. my doctor suggested using the arc trainer/elliptical for the time being.
i don't like the arc trainer, though, so i was hoping to get some suggestions for other low-impact cardio. i already swim twice a week but due to shoulder issues from many years of competitive swimming (i'm a mess) i try to limit my time in the pool to easy laps.
any thoughts?
thanks in advance!

I'd see a physical therpaist/physiotherapist to work out a routine to heal both your knee and shoulder.0

Are you allowed to bike?0

Pool running kind of sucks, but it's the best way to stay in running shape. You would want to make sure the running motion (obviously no weight-bearing) is okay with your doctor, though. This is pretty much the standard pool running program:

I use a flotation belt and kind of clasp my arms over my chest; otherwise I end up kind of "vertical swimming" or putting too much arms into it (also a former competitive swimmer). Some people don't use the belt because they find it is a better workout.
Also second biking, if you can. Outside is preferable...the stationary bike is horrid.0 -
I have multiple meniscus tears and have a whole routine to from physical therapist. They also put me on a bike trainer. Sticking to the flats for outdoor cycling for the moments since hills too stressful. They said the type of injury I have takes a while to heal0
