I need to lose weight fast and i was wondering if anyone had tips and tricks to do it faster

    It depends how much weight you have to lose. The more you weigh the easier it is to lose.

    Whether that will give you good results very much depends on how much you have to lose and whether you do any serious progressive training as you lose the weight

    I'm in the same boat really need to lose 2lb a week but only having just over a stone more to lose its getting harder, I'm getting married in August and i really want to be at a comfortable weight for me

    Yes it is. You must be highly motivated and have no things that are likely to derail you, such as unexpected events or situations where you feel you have no control over them.

    I'm in a time schedule myself, I need to lose just under 2 pounds a week in order to achieve my goal weight at my preferred date.

    1% of your body weight per week seems to work out as a manageable goal. So, if you weigh less than 200lbs, two pounds per week is pushing it. To lose two pounds per week, you need a 1000 calories per day deficit. Most of that is achievable through eating less, but you may need to exercise to create a larger deficit.

    Is it possible, yes. I averaged ~2 lbs/week while I was dropping my 64 lbs. However, it depends on how big you are and how consistent you are with sticking to appropriate nutrition and exercise goals. I'd like to as why you have to lose weight fast though? I would suggest establish healthy exercise and nutrition goals, stick to them, and let your body respond as it will. Over time, you'll get to a healthy and fit condition. In my experience, the people that rush this journey end up with crashed metabolisms and put a lot of weight back on.

    It takes as long as it takes. For some people 2 pounds a week is very doable. For others it is not. I aim for 2 but reality is about 1.5 on average, although I have had weeks where I lost 3-5 pounds and other weeks where I have not lost any or even gained a few. I started out needing to loose 100 and I am very physically active to I burn a lot in a day. So for me cutting 1000 calories is relatively easy since it still gives me a comfortable goal of 2300. For a thinner person a much lower calorie goal could be a lot harder to sustain.

    This is not a process that can be rushed.

    Weight loss is not The Amazing Race. You didn't gain the weight in a few days and you won't lose it in a few days either. Eat at a sensible calorie deficit, work towards realistic goals and learn how to do this in a way that will be sustainable long term.

    This. Rapid weight loss rarely ends well. Most people that are successful in losing weight will tell you that the slow and steady approach is best. However, 7000 Calories equals roughly 2 lbs of fat, so as rabbitjb said, eat TDEE - 1000 Calories a day.

    7,000 calories = 2 pounds (fat, muscle, and water). NOT 2 pounds of fat (I wish).

    OP - the bigger the deficit, the less likely your body will be able to support existing lean muscle. If you just want the number on the scale.....carry on. If you want to lose mainly fat....you will need moderate goal (based on your current size).

    Close to goal.....a 1,000 calorie cut is a large deficit. More than 75 pounds to lose.....a 1,000 calorie deficit is a moderate deficit.

    OK you are right (sort of). But eh whatever...just trying to give a starting point. Yes it is complicated. However, in practice, beginners get overwhelmed when you go into all the complex details. Better to start out simple and make adjustments as you progress and learn.

    Trying to lose 2lbs a week every week until wedding day is not comfortable; that's a recipe for misery. If you want to be a glowing bride radiating joy and peace, might I suggest ordering your dress in a generous size and have it taken in as needed on the day? For a glowing complexion, do some aerobic activity every other day. Lose no more than a pound a week.

    It depends. On how high your TDEE (Total Daily Calorie Expenditure) is. And TDEE is based on your gender, current weight (also age, height), activity level and exercise regimen.

    A guy with 50-100 pounds to lose could do 2 per week pretty easily. A woman with 10-20 to lose, close to impossible. *Assuming you mean in a healthy way.
