AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR
Anyone watching it? I just watched the episode where Meagan Martin just killed the course. I want the females to kick butt again like last year!
And the Wolf pack were so smooth doing the run. The fitness level and agility that these athletes have are amazing.

What about the skinny nerd that took first place? The announcers were like "he's in total disbelief." I was like, dudes, how can you presume that? He looked pretty confident to me. I think it was the announcers that were in total disbelief.
I saw the dude training, then when I saw how that guy was built, I was like, he's gonna get through. The type of upper body strength needed for the course is quite a bit about upper body endurance. He showed them!0 -

Love her, so sad to see her fall early. I love this show, kind of addicted to it if I'm being honest

Do they always have different obstacles in different cities during the qualifying rounds? I noticed Meagan Martin did an entirely different course than Kacy (aside from the first and last obstacles). Do the competitors know in advance what they will be facing, and if so, can they choose to try out in a city which has obstacles they'd find "easier"?
Clearly Kacy was having difficulty getting any kind of momentum off that net contraption. I don't know if it was because of her light weight (while the male gymnast was only an inch taller than she was, he was 25 pounds heavier). The net seemed to be rocking differently, snapping her backward, when she was swinging. It reminded me of a seesaw when two people of very different weights are on either side. Other competitors didn't seem to have that issue. In any case, I think her timing on the release was also a little off, so I don't put the blame entirely on the equipment.
I do love this show. I love that women and men, athletes of all shapes and sizes, and from all different backgrounds, compete on equal footing. And I love that the competitors are all so supportive of one another. Sportsmanship at its best.0 -
I love this show - sad to hear that Kacy fell. I DVR it and haven't watched the latest episode yet. I wonder if I could work my way up to being able to go on in the next few years? Would be amazing!0

I hated to see Kacy fall. She was so determined. She is a motivater, especially for me. I am also 5' nothing and I think if she can do it, so can I. I do think that the ladies don't seem to have as much hand grip as the men. Hopefully they will strenghten their hands.0

The greatest advantage go to those that run the course later because this way they get a chance to assess the mistakes that those that fail on an obstacle make.
And yeah she's only one hundred pounds at 5'0. So while her grip strength and agility at that weight make it easy to carry, if the apparatuses that require swinging are just as much in counter weight, she's not going to get much momentum.

Last night's episode was pretty insane. That I beam crawl and transition looked crazy! And the one female just barely missed making it to the warped wall.

Course was so tough this week, only one completed it.................and he was a rookie. Lots of the favorites were stunned as a female outdid most of them making it the 9th obstacle (out of 10) and they got ousted on the 8th.

It really was, very proud of her. On another note, I'm not all that thrilled with a course that was designed so that nearly everyone went out on the same obstacle. It's not about being challenging at that point, and it makes for a dull episode.

But that new invisible ladder is NUTS. Especially the placement. I don't see many people finishing that period sides the dumpster diver0

Actually Isaac isn't the 1st American Ninja Warrior. Geoff Britton is the 1st Official American Ninja Warrior as he was the 1st to complete Stage 4. Isaac ended up being the one million dollar winner by finishing with a faster time but Geoff will always be able to say he was the 1st. Of course I would rather have the money.0
