Imprisoned- why did I wait so long?

I wasted so many years of my life being obese and unhealthy. In my mind Im still 20- carefree and fun- rockin out to 80's tunes, dancin in the living room and still spinnin records! Im 45 now and when I started 35 days ago I was 350. Im now 338 and have a longgggg way to go. If youre still young and need encouragement- you can do this!! And if youre my age you can do this!! Anyone can do this! I literally
could not stand for more than 15 min at a time without being in severe pain- now Im swimming 15-20 laps in an Olympic size pool 6x a week- I am anxious to break FREE of this prison I created for myself for so many years! I hope this can encourage someone. God bless us all!

You certainly can do this! I lost 120 at 44. I know that feeling that you've wasted your life away...you haven't! There's no reason you can't be where you want to be in the next couple years to come.
    Don't give up!

"Fantasy" was our class song. They didn't vet the lyrics before graduation. Good times.

Congrats on your progress so far.

Wow, that is impressive! Swimming is a great workout and much more difficult than it looks. Keep it up!

    Love your puppy picture, too.

Good for u! I feel that way myself, why did I stay heavy for so long? Even though I wanted to lose the weight I guess I really didnt want to lose the weight, weird right! But I look at it as it wasn't my time, my time is now! I am at a stand still right now though :( bc I am fighting a nasty chest cold n I can't workout bc when I do I break out in a terrible coughing spell. I can not wait to get better. But enough about that, way to go on ur motivation, u CAN do this! Keep up the great work!

I'm also 45 and class of 87'. Those were the days...Duran Duran....Wham. :) Anyway, I recently started my journey as well at 254 pounds and I'm now down to 229 a little over 8 weeks later. We can do this. In college I used to be a long distance runner and I look back on those days and I think, "What the hell happened?" It just slowly crept up year after year....until I finally said NO MORE. I am shooting for 130 pounds (my weight back in college) and I'm not going to stop until I get there. Go bold or go home!!! Friend me and we can do the journey together.
