Should I just not look at fit bits website? i have it set to medium intensity (-500 cals a day) and its telling me i have 584 calories to eat a day lol. At 1200 for the day i am way over my goal of 584 its so confusing managing both websites. Since I have it synced should i just only look at MFP?

Fitbit is mainly for tracking steps and exercise and used for motivation.
You cant get an accurate calorie deficit using it.0 -

Ignore Fitbit's calorie goal and follow MFP's, eating back your adjustments.
You can learn more in the Fitbit Users group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1290-fitbit-users0 -
I use mfp for logging all of my food and fitbit just for my steps,
I'm not sure why fitbit's telling you you've got so few calories though, is that just that today has been an inactive day?0 -
Fitbit pro-rates your calorie goal by time of day. And goes way below 1,200 calories.0

thank you! i was thinking there was no way i should be only eating 500 lol. I fill my diary out in the beginning the of the day so i know what i will be making/eating all day so i thought maybe thats why it said i was over.
thanks everyone!0 -

Fitbit's calories in / out gauge is a bit wonky - it assumes you need to earn your calories before you eat them, all the time.
I've learned to ignore it as I don't burn much during the day (work a very sedentary job), but I eat most of my calories at lunch.
Just make sure you have negative calorie adjustments set in MFP, and go by MFP's calorie goals, rock and roll.0 -
Good to know! I'm in the market for one.0

I use my activity tracker to track activities and MFP for everything else. No problems.0
