I've searched and searched, but no answer. I was wondering if anyone had any info on cal burning when it comes to using a wobble board. I realize there are tons of variables, but I'm talking about just standing on one (average variables) Although I have a Bongo Board at home, I'm starting to use a wobble board at work w/ a stand up desk. Other than the obvious benefit on not sitting in a chair for eight hours a day, it's doing something as my calves are on fire. I like it. Thanks.

I'd probably just log it as standing. If I logged it at all (I wouldn't).

Thanks, but not concerned about logging it. Trust me, it ain't standing either. Just wondering if anyone had come across any numbers. Other than zero cardio benefit, I'd wager it gets pretty close to walking (as far as cals go). Of course, my legs don't burn like this with simple walking. When I say I'm just standing on it, I'm not really. I just mean I'm not doing squats, or additional exercises. I'm moving back/ front or side/side, or at a minimum, I'm making little corrections if I'm keeping still. After an hour, my calves feel like I just traversed a mountain on my snowboard (toe side).

There is no significant calorie burn. The "burning" is just a temporary response to the new activity. Remember those "shape up" shoes that were shown to have no effect? And using a bosu as a chair, which has been shown to have no effect? Same thing.
