Need advice on best cardio to do at gym and for how long?

Usually I do 30 mins of elliptical on level 10, then 15 mins on treadmill on an incline, yesterday I used the rowing machine for 10 mins and that was a good workout.

The best cardio is whatever you enjoy enough to keep doing it, and keep pushing yourself at.0

Personally I am not a fan of machine hopping. Running on treadmill is boring and hard on my old man knees. Starting out I did the elliptical and enjoyed it then switched to the Arc Trainer (similar to elliptical). The Arc trainer was a far more challenging workout IMO. I like doing the interval programs.
As far as length, I would just pick a level and time and gradually increase the intensity and/or time each week or two.0 -
