I've just got a polar loop and paired it with myfitnesspal. It recognises my polar band but however much I walk etc. it still says 0 calories. Any one else having this problem or have I done something wrong?

For day to day activity mine only logs calories if I burn above what MFP estimates I burn per day.
It will log calories for exercise if I pair it with the heart rate monitor.0 -
You have to set it to adjust calories from polar. but if your loop calories are less that your polar calories you will get a negative for the day. It will only log exercise calories if you use the heart rate feature. You have to enable negative adjustments in the exercise settings.0

I think the issue is I have an Android. But when I look at the reviews on the Google play store l looks like syncing with the phone app with Flow has been going on since the update earlier this year. So the only option I have to sync is desktop.

Oh okay, I have an Ipod, I think they're supposed to be coming out with another update for android soon.

The problem is Android right now. That version is way behind IOS which does sync with MFP. Now recent sync issues have been the Polar Flow server has had issues.

I'm very disappointed with Polar on this, I've always loved their products and the sync issues with mfp are a real problem (I'm an android user).0

Ditto. I retired mine because what's the point in a tracker that is not current with technology.
