Calories Increased, but more hungry. Normal?

I've recently switched from weight loss to maintaining. As a result, I've added 300 calories to my daily budget. I'm about a month into this transition and all of sudden I've started to noticed I feel hungry more often. I'm not starving but I have that empty stomach feeling. I haven't changed what I eat since increasing calories. I typically eat more of what I used to eat or I'd added a few higher calorie items. Is this a normal part of transitioning? How long does it take to adjust?
