How do you log an artichoke?

Hey all, so I'm wondering how I'd log an artichoke..... I don't eat the whole thing, obviously -- just the lower-half of the inside of the leaves, and then the heart as well. I'm not sure how I'd log it as far as grams go. When I do an online search it shows things like a large artichoke is 162g and 60 cals. Well, this artichoke that I have weighs 377g raw!!! It is of course a larger one but it's not the largest I've ever seen either. I'm not eating the whole thing, like I said earlier, so I just don't know how to properly log this.... I know it may seem arbitrary to some, but my calorie allowance does not allow a room for an extra 50 or 60 calories, so I want to make sure I'm logging as accurately as I can. ANY advice is appreciated.

Do your search for "Jerusalem-artichokes, raw." That seems to be the USDA entry, and you can select 100 grams as your serving size. After you've cut up what you want to eat, weigh that in grams. Then the math is easy. :) Most veggies and fruits have more reliable entries if you search for the plural instead of singular (carrots instead of carrot, etc.) HTH

If you want to be really specific you could weigh it before you eat it, then weigh the remaining leaves after you're done. However it will change weight when you cook it because of the water, so I would weigh it once it's cooked and see what the USDA website has concerning cooked artichoke.
