Hello everyone. I am kind of worried that my body is acting so severely. I am a big man starting my weight loss at 350lbs and my height is 5'10". After eating nutrisystem my body quickly dropped down to a plateau of 325lbs. I stayed at this plateau for 3 whole months bouncing up and back down but never going under 320lbs. Last week I did some reading about protein and healthy fats and decided to add a vitapak to my diet. I also started walking 3-6 miles at a time, usually the lesser amount a couple times a week and doing some aerobics on xbox fitness which is extremely hard for me. Here is my daily guidelines with some alterations from day to day to vary up my diet a little.
Breakfast
Mega Mens - Energy and Metabolism Vitapak
2-3g of CLA - dependant on the type of meat i eat
Protein Shake - 2 to 3 scoops Amplified Extreme 60 Chocolate with 1/2 to 1 Cup liquid eggs and 1/2 to 1 cup almond milk instead of water
Sometimes a Quest Protein Bar for breakfast in addition to above so that the pills arent eaten on an empty stomache
Lunch
1/2 Grapefruit
Nutrisystem Lunch or Chicken (4 oz)
Lima Beans or Chickpeas
Sometimes a Greek Yogurt
Dinner
either chicken or salmon
green beans/peas/small salad/kidney beans ect.... side dish to go with the dinner
Calcium supplements only when needed (daily intake doesnt match what is needed for a recommended daily amount)
Snack
Almonds - unsalted or
Cashews - unsalted or
Protein bar
Green Tea - 2 to 3 times a day (2 sugars)
Peppermint Tea - 1 to 2 times a day (2 sugars)
My question is this, why is my body dropping so much weight, im concerned its not healthy for me. Am I doing something wrong here? The cla/calcium mixture is based off of some scientific articles I have read about benefits of combining the 2 and breaking up fat from your body.
High Protein diet is also aimed at losing weight, High Protein/ Low Carb.
Vitapak is my multi-vitamin used so that I do not miss any essential vitamins/minerals throughout the day while i am dieting.
Generally speaking i am keeping between a 1200-1700 calorie diet and I feel very full with all the protein I am eating.

The only thing I can think of is maybe because the bigger you are the faster you lose. When I started losing weight I was over 260 lbs at only 5'4" and I would lose roughly 7 lbs a week (a pound a day). Now I lose about the normal 1-2 lbs a week because I'm getting closer to a healthier weight now (199 lbs). I think it is always fast in the beginning of a new diet.0

First of all: CONGRATUALATIONS! you appear to be eating correctly and it appears your body is rewarding you for doing so. You are eating over 1200 calories per day, exercising and doing to right things. When you are at a heavier weight, your body will lose weight quickly. As you get closer to your goals, that lose will slow down. Meanwhile; enjoy your success. :-)0

you get that whoosh of a big weight loss which is mostly water at the start of any diet especially when you have alot to lose - you're doing fine, you'll find that it'll be more like 1 - 2lbs a week from now on. Wishing you all the best0

I think 6lb a week is ok for someone of your weight. It will probably be a lot less in the weeks to come. In my first week 'on plan' I always lose 3lb and I'm a third of your weight.0

Thanks everyone for your replies, makes me feel better that I get someone else to look over my diet that has already been there.0
