First off, I have to know if Viviakay did approx 2 hours of BL, plus spinning, walking, and weights? Which BL did you do? Also, can you sit down today? Enough lunges for you?

Yesterday, I didn't make it to the Intermediate Yoga video. I ran out of time and did 50 minutes of walking and 20 minutes of weights - did the BL weight segment on the First workout. I thought it was a little easy, especially compared to my weights class, but I still managed to burn 107 calories. I guess the main thing was it was just one move at a time. It would be quite difficult if it was after the rest of the video.

Haven't decided what I'm doing today. I'm thinking elliptical.

I got Yoga Core Cross Train yesterday, might do that as well.

Good morning ladies. It was a beautiful afternoon yesterday so I took my five year old and my grandson outside to play. It sure is alot more fun being 66 pounds lighter. I also bought a bathing suit to hang downstairs where I work out for inspiration.

I did Hip Hop Abs Total Body Burn today and it's nice out again so I'm looking forward to getting outside again.

    Great start!

I had to work all weekend and was about to workout last night when my son decided he wanted to get up and play at 10pm! So much for the workout, but I got quality mommy time with him, so I'll take that as mental health.

I did my BFL lifting and feel like jello. No more weight than I usually do, but the sets & reps are kicking my butt to a new level. Then I went out to the practice field to see a friend and got suckered into running a few sprints around the soccer field with her girls. UGH! I haven't done speed work since college. I thought I was going to puke  but managed to keep up enough to not embarass myself. I couldn't let a couple 19/20 year olds beat me! Will someone come recusitate me tomorrow?

I was up at 5:30 am to do my elliptical (55 minutes, burnt 552 calories).
Also when out for 1hrs walk with the kids this morning. Unfortunately, it was a slow walk due to the kids but that was 1hr away from the fridge and not thinking about food. lol
I've increased my calories a bit to reflect my BMR as I really felt I wasn't feeding my body enough. I was feeling really weak at times. It's only 100 calories more but sometimes that extra apple or banana really helps.

    Have a great day everyone!

I did the BL DVDs in place of the gym. . .I'm insane but I"m not crazy. And, for the record. . .my *kitten* is killing me. Those DVDs are unbelievable. Except, I think Cardio level 3, where my heart rate just dropped, and fast. Level 2, HRM wise, is the most intense. I did a walk that was the equivalent of my gym walk as well.
I think I might try to do the BL thing once a week, in place of a gym visit. I like the bootcamp thing, but I hate the boot camp at my gym. (Lots of inconsistency, too much "resting") I was hoping for enormous calorie burn, but got a pretty moderate one (almost two hours of BL = one hour of spinning.)

And yes, plenty, plenty lunges for me (hence the *kitten* pain.)

Julie, playing with kids is the best exercise! So glad that you can enjoy it more!

Today I have a new Yoga DVD to try. . .I'll report back.

  • good morning everyone... had a great weekend... we ate a lot of really good food and drank a lot of beer :drinker: and went on a lot of walks with the dogs... I think I gained a little weight over the weekend but I didn't weigh myself... I will wait until friday to see how I am doing... I am going to really have to put my nose to the grind stone... I am determined to reach my goals and refuse to let my weekend with my mom become a setback... this morning I did 45min of aerobic walking and some light upper body strength training just to get me back in the grove... will probably take the dog for a walk later and hope to get in some gardening today as well if it warms up a bit... :flowerforyou:

    Have a great one...

Good Morning! Everyone is just rockin' it! I love it.

Had a great swim yesterday, then did 20 minutes of power sculpting. I secretly love doing Men's Fitness workouts on FitTV. They really kick your butt!

Yesterday I also baked some protein bars from Alton Brown's recipe on Food Network. They turned out great, and so much healthier than store-bought bars!

I've entered them into the database as "Alton Brown's protein bars."

    Anyway, I digress.

    Today I'm going to:

    1. Do Hip Hop cardio
    2. Eat slowly and mindfully
    3. Drink my tea and take my vitamins
