I sprinkle it around the pool cage in an effort to keep bugs away. Mine doesn't look like dirt. It's a creamy tan and more like sand.

I didn't know people ate it. What is it supposed to do?

The guy at Tractor Supply scooped up a finger full & ingested it right in front of me. I originally bought it for my chickens, goats & dogs as a supplement to fend off insects & mosquitos. I'll definitely check out the pros & cons of human consumption.

I dunno...Tractor Supply doesn't exactly scream "Good source for dietary information" to me.

    This made me laugh.

Man, I need to publish a study showing that kitty litter doesn't kill you. There's a huge untapped market for this stuff!

Then I'm moving onto clumping kitty litter.

    Huge profit!

It's not dirt, it is the fossilized remains of marine phytoplankton. It can do many things as read here http://www.processedfreeamerica.org/resources/health-news/793-health-benefits-of-diatomaceous-earth- and there was a study done that showed it can lower cholesterol, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9533930
Is this why you are prescribing it for yourself? Do you have high cholesterol or other health problems that you think this will help you remedy?

Natures way Hair, Skin and Nails gummies are delish and make your nails strong. Hair seems thicker too. Much tastier way to go. Don't know about the energy either, as that is attributable to working out and eating better.
