Newbie here, looking for friends, & guess what - the Rainier Cherries are in season!

Hello All, I just got started June 1st, and am eager to find friends here. I think it will make a big difference for me. I've done this before, alone, and I just don't want to do that anymore. I'm especially looking for women in their late 40s/early 50s so we can compare notes. (No offense to the younger ones, but I think it's a different ballgame at this point in life!) Now, total subject change - I'm here to tell you that the Rainier Cherries are back! Yea! I live in Seattle, & they show up this time of year. I don't know if they're available nationwide, but if you haven't tried them, you should! Seriously, they're nature's candy. But watch the prices - so far Fred Meyer's the winner at $5.99lb, with a farmer's market just today quoting $6.99, and... omg... Metropolitan Market has them for $8.99! I still have to check one other place that usually has 'em for $3.99. In any case, summer's here, and so is the fruit, so let's take advantage of it & enjoy! Cheers! ~Claudia
