For those of you who have lost 50+ pounds (or close to it), what did your weekly weightloss look like? I know everyone is different, I just wanted a general idea of what to look forward to in the future. I'm just looking for some inspiration, because I know it's going to be alot of hard work. :)

I fall into "or close to it" and maybe in a few short weeks will be in the 50+ club. Anyway, mine has averaged out to 2 pounds a week eating at about 1200 calories a day. It was not constantly 2 lbs each and every week, but I never had what I consider a true plateau.

I lost the first 70 with no plateaus. It worked out at 2 pounds a week, although some weeks were more and some less. I was morbidly obese though and still have a way to go (stuck in a stall at the moment but carrying on!).

    Best of luck! :flowerforyou:

ETA: I started with a calorie allowance of 1860 and am still in the 1400s so have never, and will never, go as low as 1200. I will change my goals to keep my calories no lower than 1400. I am a 6 foot woman and know I couldn't stay on a plan where I had to eat so little!

My loss was crazy.... My first 20-25 pounds came off in what seemed like an overnight stretch. I was averaging 4-5 pounds a week for about a month. Then it changed to about 4-5 pounds a month. There really wasn't an exact weekly, because 1 week it would be 3 pounds then the next a half a pound then nothing, etc.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Mine fluctuated from 5lb/month to 2lb/week, to nothing for a couple of months to 4lbs/week, but overall I guess I averaged 1.25lb per week since Jan 2012

I lost sixty pounds in just under five months. The losses were heavier early. I'm down about four pounds this month. I lost roughly eight pounds in May, eleven in April, and somewhere around that in March (I'd dropped 30 prior to using MFP in early March, so I don't have those exact numbers). I dropped better than twenty the first month I started exercising and eating better.

I've lost weight consistently, but worked at controlling the rate since I figured out what I was doing.
