Wedding dress shopping

so this is actually the most important part of my wedding day to me other than actually getting married. I plan to go shopping early August for a wedding next May. I'm not sure I will be at my gw then or what will happen after. Any suggestions? I've heard you should start about 6 months early. But obviously I need a dress that fits.

    Most important tip: do NOT buy a size or two smaller thinking you will fit in it by the wedding..you can always take a dress down in size, but it's near impossible to make it bigger. Get a dress that suits your figure now and wait until 3 months before the wedding date to actually get it fitted with a seamstress.

    Okay. Good to know! The most I'm planning to lose is about two sizes. Not sure where I'll be in August. Going very gradually. I will get one that fits well when I try it on then.
