I just got a new Fitbit charge HR and after I've charge it and tuned it on, it says I have walked 671 steps, and an hour later it says 1500. Did anyone with a Fitbit have this problem?

Your Fitbit burn is TDEE—the number of calories necessary to maintain your current weight. The first day you set it up, Fitbit has to guesstimate your burn since midnight.

I don't remember my first day's steps, though. If you have problems tomorrow, contact Fitbit customer service. If your tracker's defective, they'll replace it.

Try resetting it. Since they typically have a little bit of a charge when they are packaged, it would surprise me if it picked up some steps while still in the box.

The were you sitting for most of the hour you wore it? If not, then 829 steps in 1 hour seems completely plausible. If you think about it a mile is 2000 to 2500 steps (depending on stats). So 829 is 0.3316 to 0.4145 of a mile depending on how many steps it takes you to get a mile.
