I know diet soda is awful for your with all the artificial stuff in it and the caramel coloring. I have not had one DIET soda or REGULAR soda since last year. I am craving one. Is it bad to drink one every once in a while? Or should I just stay completely away from it?

Don't ask me. I never drank the stuff and I just started drinking diet soda a couple weeks ago. I plan on drinking it forever now.

I drink diet soda regularly. It hasn't hindered my weight loss one bit and my blood panels all look fantastic.

Everything in moderation! It's not poison. Just make it fit (if it's regular pop).

I never have and never will touch diet soda. Having said that, having one, once in a while isn't going to hurt you. :)

Theres nothing wrong wit diet soda. The only problem with it, its the sodium. Which is no bueno. Too much sodium can make retain water and another million things. So if you're going to drink diet soda make sure you're drinking water, at least the double. After thay you're good to go :)

Unless you're allergic to something in the soda, there's no reason not to have some once in a while.
If it's sugar, be aware that it will likely make you crave more, and for some reason the body doesn't
register liquid calories the same way it does calories from solid food.

But at least for aspartame, there's no reason to avoid it unless you're allergic to one of the amino acids.

There's 40 mg of sodium in my 12 ounces of Cherry Coke Zero...that's less than 2% of MFP's goal.

Yeah, I've never understood why everyone always freaks out about the sodium in sodas. It's not much at all, in the context of overall diet.
