Do you get annoyed reading posts of complainers?

"I gained six pounds in one day!"

"I ran a marathon and gained 10 lbs!"

Does anyone else think these kinds of posts are annoying?

I used to read these newsfeed updates as complaints too and they seemed a little dramatic and chicken little until I discovered the following.

Last week, for the first time I had to record a weight gain on my weigh-in and lo and behold it did not show up on my ticker or newsfeed. I realized then that the reason people may announce it on their status updates is because it's important to them and otherwise nobody would know. For me I wanted to post it for the sake of honesty because since I weigh so infrequently mine had always been losses only and I wanted the chance for people to see yeah I gained a half a pound just like everyone the only difference is I hardly ever weigh myself. So they just seem like impressive jumps in numbers.

So I guess for someone who weighs more frequently they will have lots of those and I hope some of them are only for information and to keep it real, but I fear your take on it is probably right and they are complaining under the assumption that with all the workouts and dieting the scale should be moving down and ONLY down.
