What is the best routine for losing weight? Es specially for the women

    Calorie deficit.
    Find an exercise you enjoy and will stick to but exercising isn't necessary to lose weight.

    Of you nwat physical exercise then id suggest a balance of cardio as well as one of the lifting pograms such as stong lifts 5x5. They do different and complementray things, but your focus should be on deficit.

    I agree with isshie. Its really that simple. I lost all my weight without much exercise at all. Now adn again, i go on a long cycling tour but the reason I don't try anymore too hard with a fitness program is because I can't keep it up.

    Count everything and make sure it is accurate! Use a scale in the kitchen.

    Exercise and use a combo of strength training/cardio. If you are doing this at home, before I started going to the gym I would do videos on youtube (Look up Hasfit and fitnessblender) and finish with some zumba or use the treadmill.

    Drink PLENTY of water, they say a certain amount a day but honestly, your pee will tell you when you are hydrated enough, google pee colors if you need to.

    Get enough sleep, even skimping an hour can throw you off.

    Do not eat anything after dinner.

    To burn calories, cardio. High-intensity intervals do even more, but any is good.
    Find something(s) you like & will continue doing.
    To maintain / gain / strengthen muscle, weightlifting.
    Do weightlifting from the start, to maintain the muscle you have. It's much easier to maintain it than to burn it up
    and try to rebuild it later.

    But you don't need to exercise to lose weight. It's nearly essential to _maintain_ any weight loss, but all you need
    to lose the weight is to eat less than your body burns.

    The above posters are correct in that you have to have a calorie deficit in order to lose weight. The exercise is really up to you and what you enjoy. If you are miserable doing the workouts you are less likely to stick with the activity. I get bored and bounce between different exercises all the time. Right now I have a 60-some day running streak of running a half mile or more everyday because I like being outside and I am enjoying it. I supplement that with yoga at the gym and kettlebell workouts. During the winter when I was stuck in the house (I didn't go to work for 17 straight days because of the snow and poor road conditions) and I used my kettlebells for strength training and my elliptical for cardio. In the fall, I played a lot of Kinect sports and did a lot of boxing on my punching bag along with kettlebell exercises.

    What kind of activities do you like to do? Voleyball, running, wlaking, hiking, tennis, strength training, or cycling? Do you prefer to exercise solo or do you like the group aspect? I joined a beginner's running group in April and a few of us still meet up to run and strength train even though the group ended a few weeks ago. Maybe something like that or a Zumba class holds more appeal to you. If you are looking for free exercise routines try Fitness Blender on Youtube, I think Nerd Fitness is free, Living Fit Revolution website has free kettlebell workouts once you sign up, also Strong Fitness magazine or Oxygen magazines website has free information and workouts that you can do.

    Good luck on finding an activity that you truly love and look forward to doing everyday.

    Why would you think women need a different approach to losing weight than men?

    Eat less than your body requires day to day to lose weight. Exercise to improve your fitness and health.

    It really is that simple and tens of thousands here have proven it. All you need to do is start.
