45 kilograms but a little chubby?

I'm a female, 18 years old and has a height of 5ft and 2 inches. I weigh 45kg but I don't look skinny? Rather, my arms are a bit "meaty". I eat about 1150-1180 calories a day since last week. I don't have time for exercise since I go to school and a part-time job.

45kg is pretty small. Maybe you have more flab than muscle, so it looks "chubby"?

You're underweight, with little muscle definition most likely, which is why you feel like you look chubby. Start on a progressively heavy lifting program and up your calories to gain a couple pounds.0

You are on the low end of the spectrum for someone of you height as far as weight. Maybe losing weight is not the answer to your particular problem but rather a lifting program to help fill your arms out a bit.0

You're what's called skinny-fat (basically, skin and bones with a bit of fat, very little muscle). There's not much more weight to lose before your body starts to shut down, so don't go that route. Start exercising (no time=excuse), even 30 minutes a day will transform your body (try some Beachbody programs). Muscle burns fat, you will be left with a nice, lean body. And start eating more:-)0

Does exercising help having a slimmer face? I have chubby cheeks too.

I am messing with you. You use standard units mixed with metric.0 -
You are already undwerweight and eating way less than you should. You are going to accomplish the opposite of what you want and just end up looking and feeling ill. Considering meeting with a specialist who can help you with a realistic exercise and eating plan. Continuing this way, you are just going to get very ill. You need to up your calories a lot, I would guess to at least to 1700-1800 and add exercise in your life.0

You're going to have to lift and eat in a calorie surplus to gain some muscle. It will also make you gain some fat, but you can later lose it. Sorry this isn't what you want to hear, but there are people who juggle work, school, and raising a family and they manage to find time to work out. You can look into a program such as Stronglifts 5x5 or New Rules of Lifting for Women, or you can do what was posted above and work with a personal trainer to come up with a routine. You can't spot reduce, and losing more weight at this point could lead to some pretty serious health concerns.0 -

Nope that's how some countries do it ...younger generations in UK for instance may use kg rather than stones and pounds
She's 5'2 and 99lbs and underweight with a BMI of 18.1
OP get off your calorie restriction now ...you should be weighing more not less
If you can't get into a progressive lifting programme (doesn't your school have a gym?) you can do bodyweight exercises eating a decent diet ...your scale should go up, NHS BMI calculator says gaining 8.9kg will put you in the middle of a healthy weight range ...
But you need muscle, try a bodyweight programme, eating above your maintenance and do not step on the scales for a couple of months ...although it will take much longer to build the body you want

Looked it up ..Asians have a lower maximum BMI but the same minimum
Although BMI is a population measure and shouldn't be used on an individual basis really and you are still a teenager

I know there is a significant amount of pressure on you with school and work and such, but losing more weight really isn't the answer.
You need strength to get rid of the "chubby" look. Yes, your face will change from that, I am pretty much in the same boat as rabbit, I've been slowly replacing my fat with muscle. My weight hasn't really changed at all, but my face and my body have. You don't *need* a personal trainer, there are many, many strength focused videos for free on youtube (if you can access it - not sure which country you are in). If you do decide to go the personal trainer route, please be careful and make sure you find one who will help you focus on strength and not add lots of cardio.
You will also need to increase your calorie intake a bit. It may feel like it's the last thing you want to do, but it will really help with building muscle, which is what you want to make you look less "chubby"0 -

You're Asian. You will have a rounder face. That's how your bones are built.
But yes, your face will slim from weightlifting.

Reading all of these really helped. A lot. To be honest, I've lost my appetite. I don't feel like eating anymore, and eating 1150-1180 calories became troublesome for me. I've looked it up and saw that it can cause major problems. It's only been more than a week, and I think it's not that late yet, so I'm gonna force myself to increase my calorie intake. And that Youtube thing you guys said, I didn't think of that. It will be convenient for me. I've always been "weak", like, I get tired very easily. And I don't do any physical activity that much. It's just now that I decided to change my lifestyle.0

it is great to feel strong and have energy after spending a long time feeling weak. It will be tough to begin with, but stick with it! Soon you will see that those "chubby" areas will start to feel firm and smooth. It will definitely be worth it.
