Simple exercises for flabby arms

While I'm slimming down nicely and starting to enjoy my new figure (20lb down, still another 20lb or so to my ultimate goal) my upper arms seem to have stayed the same, and look even worse with the rest of me shrinking.

I can't join a gym at the moment but was thinking of doing push-ups and maybe something with dumbbells,my husband has a pair with removable weights, I think 5lb, 10lb, 20lb IIRC.

How often should I excercise? Every second day? How many repetitions and what weight? Should i be able to see some results in a month if I stick to the plan?

I can commit to 15-20 minutes every day, or two shorter sessions.

I've read over the forums and the more i read the more confused I get, wish somebody would just mentor me and tell me "Do this!":blushing:

you're asking for spot reducing. there is no such thing or exercise that can do this.

lose fat by eating calorie deficit, retain lean mass by doing full body compound movements.

I am not asking for spot reducing fat, I am asking for spot increasing muscle. My fat is melting away fine as it is, thanks  From what I've read that is quite possible. And yes, I also do know that if I do strength for the whole body I'll build the bigger muscles quicker and burn more fat

So, any exercises for arms that will fit in 15-20 minutes daily at home and involving no other equipment but dumbbells?
